Most people find Archies Thongs instantly comfortable, however, occasionally, some people may experience initial discomfort. Please do not worry if you experience this. As you wear the thongs in, they will gradually soften and mould to the shape of your feet. Your body will also become accustomed to having the support.
Although there are only a small number of people who initially experience discomfort, our customer surveys show that this disappears in 80% of the cases once the thongs are properly worn in.
If you feel some discomfort, then we recommend gradually wearing them in. For example, you might like to wear them for an hour or so a day and slowly increase this until your feet become more comfortable with the arch.
Please note, sometimes if the fit is not correct, the arch can feel uncomfortable. Our thongs should "fit like a glove" with very little space in front of the toes and behind the heels. If the length is too big, the arch will not be positioned correctly and this could cause discomfort. If you need us to check the fit for you, please contact customer support.
Pushing through a little bit of discomfort is okay, however, we DO NOT advise any customers to “push through” pain. If you are in pain from wearing the thongs, please stop wearing them and contact customer support. If any soreness or pain continues to persist, then please contact your health care professional. The above is general information and should not replace the advice given to you by your health practitioner.
We encourage you to make full use of the 30-day comfort guarantee to wear them in properly. If after wearing them in you’re still not 100% happy with them, simply pay the return postage and we will refund you.
